UPDATE October,  2007

I've recently been diagnosed with a serious illness and must reduce my workload.

Our program consists of two components educationally and geographically:

(a)  Homeless child shelter and secondary education in Mondolkiri Province, Cambodia;

(b)  University education in Phnom Penh for qualifying shelter graduates.

The Mondolkiri component (a) to include staff, assets, and grants has been transferred to Village Focus International  (VFI) to continue that aspect of the mission.  Since the tough years are in the past and the shelter very successful, VFI is most fortunate.

Going forward Cambodia Corps will focus exclusively on the University Scholarship Program and the upper tier of the educated leadership.

Of the 14 students we've started in college since 2003, the first to graduate earned a BS IT degree in March this year and is teaching in Mondolkiri.  In September seven new freshmen were added to the remaining 13 for a total of 20 enrolled.

They're pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Law, Economics, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture & Rural Development, English, IT, Mathematics, Teachers Ed, MD Medical, and MD Surgery.

Four more will graduate in 2008.  With your support we'll achieve our goal of 30 university graduates in Year 2013.
