Chaya
Cnidoscolus Chayamansa

the Mayan "miracle plant"
richer in Iron than Spinach and a powerful source of Potassium and Calcium

In 2003 we introduced the Chaya Tree to northeast Cambodia in hopes that it would adapt so we could propagate it to villagers as new source of micro nutrients.  It's especially beneficial for pregnant and lactating women and preventing night blindness.  We obtained our Chaya cuttings from the University of Hawaii and the plant is growing quite well at our child's shelter with absolutely no care.
